When I was growing up, my father made us furniture and my mother made us things to wear. Now that I am an adult I find putting together Ikea furniture or making myself a full-circle Swing skirt very normal and easy.
On the other hand, I have friends who have said that they wouldn't even know which end of a hammer to hold and who find it impossible to thread a needle
So, I was wondering, where do we get our taste for crafts? Who introduced them to you? If you didn't learn about making things from your parents, did you take classes?
